Aftercare

Observation and Careful Aftercare is Necessary

During your initial treatment, we manually remove the vast majority of lice and their nits from your hair, and we spray your head with organic enzymes that remain effective for several more hours.

Depending on the level of infestation and length and thickness of your hair, however, it is possible that a nit or two escaped detection. So, don’t panic if you see a nit in your hair after the initial visit! Thorough nit picking will still be required on hair of any length as it is the only way to make sure that no little, truly difficult to notice nits linger glued to the hair shafts. Even the most meticulous nitpicker may not be able to find every last microscopic nit during the earliest treatment. That’s why aftercare treatment of daily inspecting, oil applications, shampoos and combing must be performed for at least 7-10 days following a lice treatment.

The successful elimination of lice infestations requires your active participation in continuing to comb and treat your hair on a daily basis through the second treatment that you can either conduct on your own or you can ask your lice removal technician to schedule you for an additional treatment (10% discount on all scheduled retreats)

It is equally important that you take measures to decrease the likelihood that you will become re-infested by lice remaining in the home or school environment.
